Finding your way around

What the sidebar means, and the one number on the dashboard worth watching.

The finding your way around screen in Inkling

The first thing you see after signing in is the dashboard: six numbers along the top, and a list of what has changed recently.

The numbers are the state of your content at a glance. Published is what the public can see. Drafts is what you have started and not finished. Needs review is what somebody has asked a colleague to look at. Scheduled is what is waiting for its moment.

The sidebar

Down the left is everything you can reach, grouped by what it is for.

At the very bottom is your own name. Click the padlock beside it to change your password; the arrow signs you out.

The search box

The box along the top searches everything you have written and every picture you have uploaded. Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) from anywhere to jump into it without reaching for the mouse.
